DRESS REHEARSAL

WHEN:       Thursday, June 19, 2014
WHERE:      Norwalk High School Performing Arts Center
- 350 Shady Lane Drive
TIME:         6:15 P.M.

The doors open at 5:00, and dancers should arrive no later than 5:30. This is a dress rehearsal, so full costume must be worn. For appropriate shoes and tights information, please refer to the list posted in the studio. Hair needs to be pulled up and off the face. Please remember that the dancers are performing under heavy stage lights, so their makeup must be applied heavily.

Dressing rooms are located behind the stage and will be labeled. There is a designated seating section in the auditorium for each class. Dancers should change in the appropriate dressing room and then remain seated in their designated section. The backstage workers will retrieve dancers from the dressing rooms and seating sections only; they will not search for dancers who are not where they are supposed to be. No parents are permitted backstage.

We will run through the first half of the show and break for fifteen minutes. Before we begin the second half of the show, we will practice the finale; all dancers do participate in the final bow. We rehearse the finale in the middle of the dress rehearsal so that dancers may then leave as soon as they finish their final dance.

Dress Rehearsal is for dancers and one parent only. Please do not bring extra family members. The dancers need to focus on their performances, and this is difficult for them to do when there are distractions from the audience.

Videotaping of the Spring Dance Production is prohibited. DVD's of the show can be purchased. Anyone who wishes to video may do so at dress rehearsal only.

We will make every effort to keep things running smoothly, but please be patient if rehearsal runs long. Our intention is never to inconvenience you, but we do want to have the best performance possible.
